The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam:
1903 Macmillan and Co. Golden Treasury Series Edition

This small edition is from Macmillan and Co. (also known as The Macmillan Company)’s Golden Treasury Series. The cover is blue with the initials GTS emblazoned in gold on it. The spine has the name of the book on it.

It contains a wealth of information related to the differences between the translation editions. Love the note before the first edition text: basically, calling out how different it is from the subsequent editions.

The Book Itself

On my copy, it looks like an attempt was made at some point to repair the binding. There’s tape where the cover meets the interior. There’s also this faded stamp on the first page. I can’t quite figure out what it means. If anyone knows, please shoot an email over!
